Helping Others 

Helping people was not something the church should just talked about--it’s something we should live.  Serving others by sharing the good news about Jesus is vital at Gateway, but we are a community that wants to help people practically too.  Some people wonder why we are so passionate about serving other people.  The answer is pretty simple: 

Because people matter to God 

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.       2 Peter 3:9 

Because God commands us to go                   

Then the master told his servant, `Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full Luke 14:23 

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations..... Matthew 28:19 

Because sharing about Christ is God’s plan

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."  Acts 1:8
