We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. Romans 12:6-8 Gateway Ministry Opportunities At Gateway, we need everybody’s help in order to serve like Christ–including yours. Many of us come to Gateway with a background of skills and interests (music, drama, construction, food, technical, computers, sports, etc.) that can be used to help others. Whether you are brand new to church, or a mature believer, there are volunteer opportunities where you can serve. Please keep in mind though, that because Gateway exists to “Live for Christ, Grow in Christ and Serve like Christ”–it is essential that people seeking to volunteer must first be committed to that end. Some of the opportunities to serve have requirements due to the nature of the role and its direct influence on individuals in God’s church.
