Live for Christ

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

From the moment of your birth, God breathed life into you for one grand purpose—to worship Him. We were made to love God and we will never find fulfillment in anything this world has to offer. We discover significance, purpose and meaning for life when we begin to live for the One who created us—God. He loves us and wants us to love Him in return.  He showed us the full extent of His love by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the price for our sins.  It is through Jesus that our relationship with God is restored and our lives are made new. Sunday Morning Worship is designed to help you explore what it means to Live for Christ each day.

Grow in Christ

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18

We see it all around us, from plants to people—health brings growth. This is especially true in the life of a Christ-follower.  There should be clear evidence that we are growing in our journey with God. So how does that happen? The Bible says we are to grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ. This command is two-fold.  Clearly we are to grow in our understaning of God and His word, but that understanding needs to produce a "grace-filled" life.  A new life of faith, hope and love. We believe this kind of growth happens when God's people gather to study God's word. Our 3G Network (Gateway Growth Groups=Sunday School, Small/Support groups, Kid’s/Teens/Men’s/Women’s programs) exist to help you Grow in Christ.

Serve like Christ

Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus. I Timothy 3:13

God has blessed each of us with special abilities and He expects us to use those gifts to make an eternal difference. God has already prepared good works for us—He’s just waiting for us to step up. Houses and homes need to be built or rebuilt. There are basic human needs that we can meet together. Countless people must recieve the good news about Jesus so their lives can to be transformed. That’s where you come in.  When you serve, you reflect the love of Christ and that's attractive in a "me centered" society. People get to see Christ through your willingess to make a difference. Our goal at Gateway is to provide opportunities to Serve like Christ inside and outside of the church.
