International Opportunities

The church was always meant to have an impact, not only in the community it finds itself in, but also in what God is doing on a global scale. The church in different parts of the world needs each other and this world needs the church.  At Gateway we have developed strategic partnerships to serve like Christ to the ends of the earth.  Our prayer and hope is to intentionally partner with churches and organizations that desire to journey towards making a difference in their communities by sharing Christ’s love in practical ways.

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. This program of Samaritan’s Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ, God’s greatest gift. 

This Gateway mission partners with Voice of the Martyrs to raise awareness for underground churches worldwide.  The purpose of S.U.B.M.I.T. is to challenge the local church to pray for and support those being persecuted for their faith in Christ.  S.U.B.M.I.T. meets twice a month on Sunday mornings to learn about and pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who are suffering for their faith. Haven of Peace Christian Church was planted through the missionary efforts Gateway Christian Church.  It is located in the capital city of Dar es Salaam and has planted nine other churches throughout Tanzania and the Congo.  We continue to partner with HOPCC through Don and Rochelle Buckner, our missionaries.

As an international Christian humanitarian organization, World Vision works in nearly 100 countries around the globe, combating the root causes of poverty and responding quickly when disaster strikes.   We partner with communities to find lasting ways of improving the lives of children and their families.

Sponsoring children in need is breaking the cycle of poverty.  Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.  Founded by Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training.  Today, Compassion helps more than 1 million children in 25 countries.
