Fellowship
is about connecting in community.
A community built on the unity and peace we have in
Christ and investing into the lives of other believers
in God’s family.
God has put in each of us the desire to
love and be loved.
His desire is that we care for each other's needs.
That is what His desire is for each of us in the church.
At GCC we strive to connect faith, family and friendships
in Christ.
Small Groups
A Small Group is a group of people who meet in homes,
restaurants or workplaces in order to do life together.
For the skeptic, it is a safe place where one can ask
questions about who Jesus is, what he came for and what
he desires from you. For the follower of Jesus, it is
one of the most effective places to grow. Small Groups
help to build relationships with others and provide accountability
and friendships between each other. The goal of every
Small Group is to help people experience, know and become
like Jesus. This is what develops real friendships, deep
faith and authentic community!
What does a Small Group Look Like?
Small Groups are community based, intergenerational
and consist of anywhere between four and sixteen people
that meet on a regular basis to connect with God and
each other. We have groups that meet every day
of the week all over the greater Saint Louis and Saint
Charles Area. Small Groups are an integral
part of making ministry happen at GCC.
Am I Ready to Join a Small Group?
YES! You can join a Small Group at anytime!
They are open groups and you are welcome to give them
a try. However, if possible we strongly recommend that
before joining a Small Group that you attend First Base
(101). At First Base, you will discover the vision
and mission we believe that God has for GCC.
To receive the most from your Small Group experience,
you must be ready to commit the necessary time in order
to develop relationships with the members in your group
and people in your neighborhood.
When Can I Join a Small Group?
The best time to join a Small Group is ANY
TIME during the year. Pick up a Small Group application
from the office, complete it, and then submit it to
us. When we receive your application we will help you
get connected.

For more information, please contact Bjorn Thommesen at bearbat@charter.net
It will help us get you connected quickly if you fill
out an application so we can connect you with a group
that is close to you!
Support Groups

Find help and healing for the hurt of separation and
divorce. DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of
people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s
most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation
or divorce alone. DivorceCare support groups are
led by people who understand what you are going through
and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable
DivorceCare resources to help you deal with the pain
of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.

Telecare
TeleCare encourages visitors, members, and regular attenders
to stay or become “connected” to the church
body and its ministries, through regular telephone calls
done on a loving, confidential basis.
God arranged
the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose…If
one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if
one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.
Now you are the body of Christ and individually members
of it. - 1 Corinthians 12:18, 26-27

College
Connection
College Care seeks to encourage
and keep our college students connected to their home
church. You can send care packages and letters
of encouragement to them year around. You, your
family, your small group or Sunday school class can
"adopt" a college student while they are away
and encourage them throughout the year.

Armed Forces
With all that is happening in our world, we want to
take time and enourage our troops around the world.
Within the GCC family there are many lives that are
connected to men and women who are serving our country
here or abroad. While they are away, we want to
encouarage them from the homefront and you can help:
- You, your family, your Small Group or your Sunday
school class can "adopt a soldier" to send
them care packages and cards for their birthday, Christmas,
Easter, Thanksgiving or any other day you want to
celebrate with them.
- Build them into your daily prayer time by asking
God to protect them and bring them back home safely.
If you are interested in "enlisting" to help
or you would like to put your soldier on the support
list, please contact Laura Clancy and Linda Hubble at
info@gccstl.org
