MOVING UP THE LADDER: Taking the Next Step Toward a Generous Life

In the world around us, moving up the ladder often means getting more…more money, more stuff, more status, more security. But success in God’s kingdom looks different. As Jesus invites us into a radically different way of life, we discover that “moving up” really means learning to give more, as we grasp contentment, practice gratitude, use what we have to bless others, and treasure God above all things. Over the next four weeks, we'll explore some foundational principles of generosity and discover how our relationship with what we have is deeply connected to our relationship with God Himself and to the people we will become. As we approach our Special Thanksgiving Offering on November 22, we’ll invite every person at Gateway to prayerfully consider taking a step toward greater generosity and making a giving commitment for the coming year.

And letting the light of Jesus shine through the ordinary places and relationships of our everyday lives. Over these five weeks, we’ll explore what it means to live a life on mission - not simply by attending a missions event or serving on a project, but by becoming people who are continually looking for ways to love those God has placed around us. Throughout the series, Gateway will have opportunities to put our faith into action, through local and global missional projects, partnerships and acts of service.
